Please keep in mind that soy wax candles can be sensitive to temperature and environmental conditions. Soy wax has a lower melting point than other types of wax, which means that it can be more prone to melting or becoming soft in warmer temperatures. If you live in a warmer climate, we recommend keeping your soy wax candles in a cool, dry place to avoid any potential melting or warping. Additionally, extreme changes in temperature can cause cracking or frosting on the surface of the candle. While these cosmetic changes won't affect the candle's performance, we want to ensure that you are aware that soy wax is a delicate material that can be affected by its environment. We want to let you know that colder temperatures can also affect the performance of soy wax candles. When a candle is burned for the first time, it's important to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the container. This helps to prevent a 'tunneling' effect, where the wax in the center of the candle remains unmelted and creates a tunnel down the middle of the candle. However, in colder temperatures, soy wax can become more brittle and may not melt as evenly, which can result in tunneling even if you burn the candle correctly. To prevent this from happening, we recommend storing your soy wax candles in a room-temperature environment and allowing the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the container each time you burn it. This will ensure a longer, more even burn and maximize the fragrance throw of the candle.
